PROJECT NAME - Irrigation System Upgrade/Replacement

Project Description:

Talbot Trail Golf Club was formed in 1964 and opened to the public in 1966.  After years of operation we installed an irrigation system in 1992.  The control system and sprinkler heads are showing their age and inability to properly water the course. After consulting with experts in the golf irrigation field, it has been determined the sprinkler heads and operating system need to be replaced as the parts and technology are now obsolete. The best time to complete the project is late fall or early spring.

The proceeds will be used to cover the cost of parts and installation of a new sprinkler and operating systems.

How this project will assist in promoting or developing amateur sport on a national level.

This project will allow Talbot Trail Golf Club to maintain quality turf for golfers to enjoy.  Without the upgrade, it is almost guaranteed the residents of Wheatley will no longer have a golf course they can call their own. We will be able to expand our existing Junior program and attract local amateur qualifying events such as Senior Games, GAO events.
