Project Description:

  • Ten pairs of sculling oars ($500 to $1,000 a pair)      $10,000
  • A mid-weight racing single                                             $10,000
  • A racing double (2 rowers)                                             $15,000
  • A racing quad (4 rowers)                                                $20,000
  • A coach boat & motor                                                     $  6,000

The proceeds from this fundraising will be used for the following cause(s):s

Participating in regattas, training and learn to row

Projected amount of money to be raised: $60,000

How this project will assist in promoting or developing amateur sport on a national level.

Having more high quality shells will give  our high school athletes the opportunity to compete  on a level playing field at the national regattas in Welland and St. Catharines. Our club has sent several athletes on to train with the national program in past years.
