Ontario Sport Marketing & Communications Group
What is it?
The Ontario Sport Marketing & Communications Group is a peer-to-peer collaborative network focussed on learning and building capacity in the area of Marketing & Communications. Objective: To bring together PSO and MSO Marketing & Communications specialists for knowledge-sharing and problem solving opportunities. Our ultimate goal is to strengthen the Ontario nonprofit sport sector by and enhancing capacity and contributing to the continued growth and sustainability of our sector. It is our hope that a heightened sense of community will be developed and your professional network strengthened as a result of this experience. SPORT4ONTARIO’s Role: The formation of the ED PLC is consistent with SPORT4ONTARIO’s strategic goal to ‘Strengthen the Ontario sport community through quality professional development’. Membership: This is a group that is open to anyone who works in Marketing & Communications (directly or indirectly) in the Ontario Sport Sector. Logistics: This is a member-driven and self-directed peer-to-peer collaborative network. Every couple of months, members will receive a communication from the mailing list asking for suggestions on topics for the next meeting. A topic will be selected from those put forward, and the group will receive the date, time and topic for the next lunch hour meeting. Currently, Victor Harris of Digital Echidna is offering us his expertise to facilitate discussion on ways we can improve our communications/marketing techniques. SPORT4ONTARIO currently serves as the Secretariat, providing administrative and logistics support. Want to be Involved?
