PROJECT NAME - Sturgeon Point Golf Club Irrigation System Fundraiser

Project Description:

The replacement of Sturgeon Point Golf Club's full irrigation system with a modern, upgrade-able system that will allow our Greens Superintendent to develop optimal watering schedules and adjust as necessary.  This system will help the Sturgeon Point Golf Club use less water in a more useful way and help mitigate different weather through different seasons and years.  A portion of the proceeds would be used to form a capital fund to help with necessary capital repairs and improvements as necessary.

The proceeds from this fundraising will be used for the following cause(s):s

The installation of a modern irrigation system designed by a leading industry designer.  A capital fund to help maintain the new irrigation system as necessary

How this project will assist in promoting or developing amateur sport on a national level.

As our golf course grows under it's Golf Canada and Ontario affiliation, our ability to run a larger and more effective junior golf program through Golf Canada's Future Links program grows.  With a successful junior program started without some modern amenities, we will be able to continue to grow our amenities as our ability to control conditions and quality of play allows us.  As our conditions improve, our difficulty level rises and we become a more desirable training facility for local  amateur athletes who do not have much choice for expert level golfing experiences in the immediate area.​
