HELMETS
The Ontario Ministry of Health Promotion contributed $400,000 for the Think First Foundation to work with public health units and community sport and recreation partners to provide free sport and recreational helmets to children in need, and to develop and distribute promotional and communications materials. This
helmet fitting card was one of the materials that accompanied the helmet fitting clinics.
MOUTHGUARDS
Health Canada provides information on how one can minimize the risk of injury by using a mouthguard when taking part in sports and other recreational activities. Information includes ow mouthguards protect you and types of and choosing a mouthguard. For more information, click here.
WEATHER SAFETY
SIRC and Environment Canada have collorborated to provide information regarding weather safety. Newsletters, safety cards and resources on topics such as thunder, lightening and hail storms, wind chill and severe weather are available.
